A Personal History is a Job Worth Doing
Every person’s life is interesting. A personal history is the presentation of a person's life story, memoirs and /or life values, in printed form. Some people feel that their life is fairly normal or simply wouldn't be all that interesting to others. They wonder what others would expect them to say or to write about? Stop for a moment and put the shoe of the other foot. Wouldn’t you like to know what your great-grandparents’lives were really like—in their own words? Their lives may have been exceptional, but they were probably just normal people of their day. Still, it would mean so much to us if they had been able to reach out to us over the ages and so be present in our hearts today. No matter how ordinary you might think your life is, it’s extraordinary and a gift to your descendants and to future researchers. As Mark Twain said, “There was never yet an uninteresting life.”
